A workshop in the making
With acclaimed cartoonist Tim Sanders (The Independent, The Independent on Sunday, The Guardian, The Observer, The Daily Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday, YOU magazine, BBC Good Food, Private Eye, The Oldie, Broadcast, Nursing Times, Health Service Journal, The Journalist, The Psychologist, The Times Educational Supplement, The Times Higher Education Supplement…), we are developing a workshop to be used in schools, where children will be helped to use cartoons to make progress in an area of life which is bothering them. Sitting down and talking is a bit of an adult activity, whereas many children love to draw. Through cartoons, children will be able to express their hopes and preferred futures, their strengths, skills and resources and what they are doing that works, and then helped to do more of that.
We are very excited about this workshop, which will be piloted in 2012.
We will report back here how it goes.
Stop press – primary schools in Tower Hamlets and Kensington & Chelsea keen, ready and waiting to take part!
